Biographie

Born on 1973, July 11th in La Chaux-de-Fonds (Switzerland), Massimiliano Capezzali graduated in physics and then obtained a PhD in theoretical at the University of Neuchâtel (Switzerland).

During the year 1999, he has been a post-doctoral researcher at Queen's University in Kingston (Ontario, Canada).

Upon his return to Swizerland in 2000, he worked as scientific collaborator at the Swiss Federal Department of Justice and Police, in Wabern.

He joined EPFL in 2001, at first as post-doctoral researcher and then as assistant to the dean of the Engineering Department. He shared research activities and several teaching duties between EPFL and the University of Neuchâtel during this period.

Between 2007 and March 2017, he acted as Deputy Director of the EPFL Energy Center.

Starting in April 2017, Massimiliano Capezzali is associate Professor in energy at the University of Applied Sciences and Management of the Canton Vaud (HEIG-VD).

Né le 11 juillet 1973 à La Chaux-de-Fonds (Suisse), Massimiliano Capezzali a obtenu le diplôme de physicien et un doctorat en physique théorique auprès de l'Université de Neuchâtel (Suisse)

Pendant l'année 1999, il a été chercheur postdoctoral auprès de la Queen's University à Kingston (Ontario, Canada).

De retour en Suisse en 2000, il a travaillé comme collaborateur scientifique auprès du Département Fédéral de Justice et Police, à Wabern.

Il a rejoint l'EPFL dès 2001, d'abord comme chercheur postdoctoral puis comme adjoint au décanat de la Faculté STI. Il a également recouvert des charges de recherche et d'enseignement auprès de l'Université de Neuchâtel pendant cette période.

Entre 2007 et mars 2017, il a recouvert le poste de directeur adjoint du Energy Center de l'EPFL.

Depuis avril 2017, Massimiliano Capezzali recouvre la charge de Professeur associé en énergie auprès de la HEIG-VD
